Student Computer Ownership Initiative

An Introduction to Computer Requirements and Suggestions

Starting with the Fall 2005 semester, students entering Illinois State will be required to bring a computer to campus. This applies to entering freshmen, transfer, and graduate students. The reasoning behind the policy are many, but just like textbooks, attendance in class, and appropriate study time, a computer has been deemed to be critical to a student's success. And those who do not have 24x7 access to the Internet and a computer are at a disadvantage.

TechZone will help all students through the process of bringing a computer to campus. If a new computer is desired, they will help students and parents make a good purchasing decision and get a good price.
